Islanders went up north to Marin this past weekend to face
the Marin bulldogs. The Islanders wanted to continue their
winning ways right into the final half of the NCFL season,
and they would do just that accomplishing their third shut
out of the season with a 44-0 victory.
Islander quarterback Jason Piccolotti would lead the offense
with another productive outing, completing 10 out of 16
passes for 157 yards and three touchdowns to receivers Nick
Iano, Obioma Ngumezi and one more on an amazing play by
Leron Mitchell on a scramble for the ball in the air in the
endzone. Islanders would be with out their starting running
back Jarmar "The Beast" Julien, but that would not stop the
running game. With Jason Harrison gaining 78 yards and a
touchdown on ten carries, and Calvin Edwards would get 79
yards and a touchdown of his own on just seven carries.
Despite missing a few starters the Islanders defense would
once again step up to the challenge. With players ready to
step up their roles they would do just that. Playing tough,
aggressive defense and not letting the offense get any
points on the board.
The 6-0 Pacifica Islanders will travel to the East Bay on
Saturday to face the Norcal Lawmen. Game will be at
Pittsburg High School in Pittsburg, kick off will be at 7pm.
Islanders encourage their fans to come on out and cheer on
their team
