Pacifica Ca. - The City of Pacifica proclaimed August 8th 2009 Pacifica Islanders Day in honor of their accomplishments on and off the field. August 8th was chosen as this was the date of the MLFN Sunset Bowl. Senator Leland Yee was on hand and also recognized the Islanders with a letter from the State Senate congratulating them on their achievements.
