A PLATFORM FOR CHANGE

We are the Members First Ticket. We believe we can return Local 3 to greatness through leadership, transparency and accountability. We will bring back Local 3’s traditions of strong contract negotiations and strict work jurisdiction.

Our Officer group is made up of members with ten or more years of field experience; all will fight for the good and welfare of the membership!

We need to restore our pension. It is our goal to have it funded one hundred percent (100%) and keep it that way. Our Health and Welfare benefits need to be brought back to the levels of the late nineties.

We must reclaim our jurisdiction and enforce our contracts. We need to secure new technology and be ready for the future and the changes it will bring forth. Members will have input in all negotiated agreements with a strong rank and file committee present at the bargaining table.

We will increase training at Rancho Murieta Training Center, and all of our Training centers across the four state jurisdiction for journeymen and apprentices. We will create training opportunities in each district so members will not have to travel to a Training Center and loose time at work to upgrade certain skills.

All funds will be audited and we will take a close look into the management of our investments.

We promise to bring all issues and concerns within the Union/Local 3 to the membership for understanding and vote if necessary. Including any found misconduct or misappropriations of Union funds.

Most importantly we put the Local 3 Membership First!

The Members First Ticket will be held accountable to make changes on the following current issues:

1: True Local 3 leadership transparency
2: Accountability of all Union Staff
3: Restore our Pension and become 100% funded
4: Do a full Audit of all Union funds and assets
5: Allow Retirees to be consultants for the union
6: Appoint a Retiree to have a seat on the trust funds
7: Protect vigorously our work and jurisdiction from other crafts
8: To restore our health and welfare benefits to prior levels
9: Negotiate maintenance of benefits language
10: Be the highest paid tradesmen of all the basic crafts
